13:00 Check-in at Somo Café and Visit the Cửu Long Rice Wine Workshop
After lunch, make sure to visit the farm’s unique ‘brick kiln’ cafe for a cup of coffee or a fresh juice and take some unique and picturesque photos in this charming ‘kiln’ setting.
Somo Farm offers fantastic photo spots, and all you need to do is point and shoot to capture beautiful moments!
Next, why not explore one of the most special places on the farm? The Cửu Long Rice Wine Workshop is formed from a long-standing traditional wine-making village, combined with modern technology to produce high-quality and health-conscious wine jars. You’ll witness each step, from cooking rice to fermentation, toxin removal, and the burial of your precious wine jars, all under the guidance and explanations of experienced wine artisans at the farm.
14:00 Eco Experience Activities at the Farm
In the afternoon, you can choose to transform into true Mekong Delta locals with traditional conical hats, straw hats, and ‘áo bà ba’ outfits provided by the farm, and participate in various fun activities at the farm:
Visit the amazing fruit garden, filled with colorful tropical fruits that you can pick yourself.
Afterward, you can try canal fishing to test your agility and skill, or paddle a boat on the large central lake right in the farm’s compound!
Or, you can opt for an excursion in the ‘Contemporary Heritage of Mang Thit‘ experience:
Mang Thit Brick/Clay Kiln: Learn about the process of making bricks, from raw materials to finished products, through delicate handcrafted steps. You can observe and participate in the brick-making process with skilled artisans, creating unique and beautiful products from clay.
Nhơn Phú Church: A historically significant religious destination in Vinh Long. The church’s architecture is a blend of Chăm and Khmer styles, creating a unique and captivating beauty.
